if i had it my way, "globetrotter" would be front and center on my resume

there really is nothing else i would rather do

i am not a writer at heart but i sure am a wanderer and Alex Brueckner captured what i have been trying to put into words. Only a wanderer would know the feeling... taken from : http://thoughtcatalog.com/2012/what-a-life-of-travel-does-to-you/

fly me to Morocco

im bored and when im bored, there's nothing else i would love to do but travel.
this boredom led me to remember the week stay that is waiting for me in Surf Berbere, Morocco.
months ago, i won it in a facebook contest and all i have to show for it is a swatch watch which i must say is pretty nice. but i would exchange it for a ticket to Morocco in a heartbeat.

my winning entry for the contest

i hate that these are just waiting for me! hopefully, it wont expire like what Tibor Baschnonga tells me...he owns the company who is supposed to give the prize to me.

Jack goes to Chinatown (again)

all work and no play makes jack a dull boy

days have been so "routine" these past months. in quotation because my line of work does not really fall under the list of routinary jobs out there but somehow i feel as if it is. i still like what i do and i still somehow see it opening doors for me in the future but all i can hope for is for it to bring me closer to my ultimate goal.
i work all throughout the week and just stay in for the weekend. needless to say, i miss travelling, being out there and immersing myself in other cultures, talking to random strangers, sharing tips and stories with other travellers on the road.

RIO

There really is too much to tell. I would be writing for a very long time if i tried to write about the CISV experience in Brazil. It really is true though that it is quite frustrating to come back from camp and you try to explain how it was to other people but you really can't just quite give them an accurate description the past month. I guess it comes back to my sentiments when I did start this blog years ago, traveling very much like CISV as i have learned, is a very personal experience and can't be translated into words. Nothing stops us from trying though.

a new chapter

it's been ages,g&w blog.

the sem is finally over and though i'm not officially done yet (thesis and all), i am a free man.
i have been doing some wandering around the city but it's mostly for my thesis. i'll post 'em here when i'm done but for now, it's still under wraps. oh and i got the funding that i was hoping for--so that's good but a bit of a pressure too. the pressure is welcome though! i really want this thing i'm doing to change some things around here.
totally unrelated; just a postcard from my italian friends when they were in Paris
