i spent the last two days waking up extra early...
for today, it was to make it to my 9am appointment in the italian embassy in salcedo. i realized i've forgotten the ins and outs of some of the streets in makati unlike during my OJT summer, so last night i google mapped it and found how screwed up the positioning of the embassy is online...good thing a friend knew the place and gave me directions.
the application process was so easy for me, i guess the people in UNIPD already gave them a heads up. gratis is written on my visa receipt meaning it is free and paid for by the italian government. even the one interviewing me was so nice. she made sure everything was ok and we even shared laughs, something i really didn't expect since all my embassy experience is from the US embassy and people there are bitches and embassy the club...heh.
july 29 is my next appointment. and hopefully it's the same as visa pickup.
yesterday, i had to wake up 4am to make it to the supposed pickup for the tagaytay shoot at 6am in quezon ave. but as usual, the client was late. good thing Watanabe, Midori and Naoko was there to accompany me. we got to tagaytay at around 10am. we headed straight to highlands. Darren Tieste was already there as he spent the night with Love in Discovery. It was raining so hard. the outdoor shoots was already out of the question. driving in the thick fog of tagaytay, a travel flashback occured...
back in december, i was driving to hendersonville, north carolina with my sister and her husband
and the fog was so thick that the next car could hardly be seen. abyss as Love would have called it. if it were on a swamp, i would've expected some movie monster to pop out.
back to tagaytay... the shoot was for regatta and shooting in that weather made the shots had more of a cabin feel than a seaside, dock-y feel. still turned out great. as usual, models were brazilians, hevelyn and william.
*this tagaytay trip is actually the first account of a trip! well, it really isn't travel but at least the travel flashback shared a snippet of my US cross country trip. first out of town since i started this blog not considering alabang knowing that people i know will get mad calling their home province...
