20 days

i am all set to go. at least as far as fixing all my papers is concerned.

i have yet to pack and be all set with my accommodation for the first few days.

damn it. it is so near. too near.

i have that to worry about plus fixing the mess that is 'tick, tick, BOOM!'

20 days. wow.

i'm working with darren again tomorrow. hope it goes well.

on to bondi

i met up with my cousins from australia last night.
yup, i am one of the number of pinoys that has used the line, 'yeah i have family there!' as an icebreaker to people from australia (darren would always point this out as a lot of pinoys have approached him this way and i actually realize how lame an icebreaker that is)
back to last night..i havent seen my cousins in a while now but somehow it still is the same. i'm writing this entry because we talked about how one of my cousins would always pick fights with everyone and one instance was when i was in sydney in 2005 after my week in melbourne for the pacific school games.

i arrived in sydney and went straight to my aunt's place, fell asleep for a good part of the day and waking up, i realized other relatives had arrived. they asked what i wanted to do and immediately i said, 'beach!' the other choice was to go the mall. wew.
on our way to Bondi beach, a couple of dudes started picking a fight with my cousins on the road. while all the exchange of shouts and taunts were happening, i chucked water out the window to the other car. some of the water i threw also hit my cousin and she got full on ballistic thinking the other car did that. she got a glass bottle and threw it to the other car with her head out the window shouting god knows what. hahaha... we were laughing our asses off last night in somerset to this story. anyway, it was a good thing the dudes were not heading to Bondi otherwise i dont know how much worse it could have gotten.
on the beach, i just did normal beach stuff as usual except for filming this fat old black lady sunbathe naked. ruined my appetite for the day. the image above is from that same day, had to find it in my multiply pa

all these past entries have been so random. just things that suddenly pop into my mind.

visa day and travel flashback

i spent the last two days waking up extra early...
for today, it was to make it to my 9am appointment in the italian embassy in salcedo. i realized i've forgotten the ins and outs of some of the streets in makati unlike during my OJT summer, so last night i google mapped it and found how screwed up the positioning of the embassy is online...good thing a friend knew the place and gave me directions.
the application process was so easy for me, i guess the people in UNIPD already gave them a heads up. gratis is written on my visa receipt meaning it is free and paid for by the italian government. even the one interviewing me was so nice. she made sure everything was ok and we even shared laughs, something i really didn't expect since all my embassy experience is from the US embassy and people there are bitches and embassy the club...heh.
july 29 is my next appointment. and hopefully it's the same as visa pickup.

yesterday, i had to wake up 4am to make it to the supposed pickup for the tagaytay shoot at 6am in quezon ave. but as usual, the client was late. good thing Watanabe, Midori and Naoko was there to accompany me. we got to tagaytay at around 10am. we headed straight to highlands. Darren Tieste was already there as he spent the night with Love in Discovery. It was raining so hard. the outdoor shoots was already out of the question. driving in the thick fog of tagaytay, a travel flashback occured...
back in december, i was driving to hendersonville, north carolina with my sister and her husband
and the fog was so thick that the next car could hardly be seen. abyss as Love would have called it. if it were on a swamp, i would've expected some movie monster to pop out.
back to tagaytay... the shoot was for regatta and shooting in that weather made the shots had more of a cabin feel than a seaside, dock-y feel. still turned out great. as usual, models were brazilians, hevelyn and william.
*this tagaytay trip is actually the first account of a trip! well, it really isn't travel but at least the travel flashback shared a snippet of my US cross country trip. first out of town since i started this blog not considering alabang knowing that people i know will get mad calling their home province...

40 days and 40 nights

clock is ticking that's for certain...

allow me to make this plug for my upcoming show...the line above is from one of the songs in the musical 'tick, tick, BOOM!' a show created by Jonathan Larson, same creator of RENT.

shows open on August 5, 2009 and will run until August 22, 2009...by then i'm already in Padova doing god knows what. tick, tick...

this plugging did not turn out as shameful as i thought it would be...my clock really is ticking. sounds dirty eh?

but honestly, i really am out of words to say...i was just staring blankly into space and just decided to make a plug...how do i turn into words the hodgepodge of emotions that are brewing up in me?
bv na gv or gv na bv...

can i surf your couch?

i just sent a ton of requests to CSers in Padova. good thing the place is a university city meaning almost all the available couches are from students or someone who has something to do with the university...i think i remember sending one to this professor in the school i'm attending as well.

it also occured to me that these people whose couches i will surf might need a roommate after all!
then life would be easier...to whoever made that couchsurfing community, thank you! *Casey Fenton is the founder and creator of couchsurfing. Thank you.

the two pictures above are from my first ever couchsurfing experience in Shanghai, China last May. the flat was owned by Oliver Muller, a german dude working for Bombardier. his flat was amazing...hotel standards!

the picture below is of couch potatoes...uhmmm...yeah

45 days and i realized that i still have no place to stay when i get there.
i sent an email but apparently i still have to send through snail mail my application.

i wonder. could i get by surfing couches until i actually get a place? i'm getting paranoid of what is going to happen...or maybe hostels? damn it. i have no idea what my life is going to be like come august 20. no idea at all.

house me. soon.
